9. Why is VAT not included in prices?
CONTYNUOCOLOR. S.L. is a company registered in Spain. For this reason, under the current legislation, the VAT rate of 16% is only applicable to transactions carried out in Spain (peninsula and Balearic Islands) and other EU countries. Orders placed from the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, as well as from other extra-Community countries, are exempt from VAT and it will no be added to the final value of their purchase. In the case of the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, a customs tax or an import duty might be applied. Any amount derived from this importation is payable by the customer. Therefore, Postales de Compostela will NOT be accountable for the goods once they are in the customs of the Autonomous Community.
